Lost your pickup code?
FamiliesEveryoneUpdated Sep 28, 2026
You don't need your pickup code memorized. If you've lost it, misplaced your phone, or just can't find the text, here's how to still pick up your child.
Before you start
- This only works at a staffed kiosk — one with a volunteer standing at it. A self-service kiosk (one you check in at without a volunteer present) can't look you up; go to a staffed station instead, or ask a volunteer nearby.
- Have your child's name ready. That's all you need.
What to do
- At the staffed kiosk, tap Lost your code?
- Type at least two letters of your child's first or last name.
- The kiosk shows a list of children checked in today at your church who match — each with a photo, name, and room.
- Tap your child in the list.
- A volunteer reviews the pickup screen with you: your child's photo, room, any allergies on file, and the people authorized to pick up. Nothing is released until the volunteer taps Release.
If something goes wrong
- No matches show up. Your child may be checked in under a different spelling, or at a different campus. Ask the volunteer to try another spelling, or check with the room directly.
- The screen shows a "Do not release to…" notice. This means someone matching that description isn't authorized to pick up this child. A volunteer will follow the church's safety process rather than release the child — this is expected behavior, not an error.
- You're at a self-service kiosk with no volunteer around. Look for the nearest staffed station, or ask any team member for help — they can walk with you to one.
Messages you might see
- "Ask at the desk. They can look you up." — this is the self-service kiosk's version of this screen. It's telling you a lookup isn't possible here.
