Adding your family's check-in pass to Apple Wallet

Your family pass is a fast way to identify your household at the kiosk — hold your phone up to scan instead of typing your phone number or scanning a printed card.

Before you start

• You'll need an iPhone or iPad. Google Wallet support is coming soon but isn't available yet.
• Your church needs to have you registered as a guardian, with at least one child on file.

How to add it

1. Open the guardian portal link your church sent you.
2. Find Add your family pass to Apple Wallet for faster check-in and tap Add to Apple Wallet.
3. Tap Add on the screen iOS shows you.

The pass now lives in your Wallet.

What's on the pass

• Your family's display name (for example, "The Paschall Family").
• The number of children on your household and their first names.
• A barcode the kiosk scans to bring up your household.

If your church has set a location for its campus, the pass can also surface on your lock screen with "Check in at {campus name}" when you're near the building — one tap opens it in Wallet, ready to scan. Not every church has this turned on.

A note on the security code

The pickup code you get by text is not on the pass. That code changes every time you check in and identifies your household at pickup. The pass identifies your household at check-in; the code authorizes releasing your child. They do different jobs.

If something goes wrong

• The pass looks out of date. For now, it's a snapshot from when you added it. If your family name changes or a child joins your household, open the guardian portal again and tap Add to Apple Wallet — the new pass replaces the old one.
• You don't see the Add to Apple Wallet button. It only shows on an iPhone or iPad. On another device, use the pickup code text or ask a volunteer to look you up by name.
